MINI SESSION: Session is on a set date and set location. Time-slots vary in the late afternoon and early evening.
LIFESTYLE SESSION: Client is able to choose the date and time for their session. The location can be chosen from my curated list. Session can be scheduled in the morning or evening on a Monday - Thursday.

Before I post my Fall Mini Session dates I want to put out a few evenings for sunset sessions. There is nothing better than that evening glow in the summer months so I wanted to offer discounted portrait sessions at a few of my favorite locations to use during the summer months.
These sessions can be used for any type of grouping… families, couples, seniors, headshots for work, etc. If you’ve worked with me in the past you know how many photos we can get in a short time so this is a great option for anyone who is wanting a good variety of updated photos.

I am slowly but surely venturing into the world of Senior Photography and I couldn’t be more excited! I understand that it can be a very big investment for families and my goal is to make it accessible for every student. I have specialized in family mini sessions over my 14 year photography career and I am hoping to bring that same easy-breezy, fun, and seamless vibe to senior sessions.
There will be 3 collection options for families to choose from. The collections will vary in time, edited photos, outfit changes, and location backdrops. All sessions will be done in the evening so we can utilize the “golden hour” lighting and locations will be chosen by client from my curated list.
I feel very strongly about making sure that EVERY student is able to celebrate this amazing milestone with their own senior photography session. If the collection options aren’t in your price range please do not hesitate to reach out and we can customize a senior collection that best suits your budget.

I will be offering discounted investment pricing for Portrait and Mini Sessions scheduled from June - August on weeknights (Monday - Thursday). There will be a list of locations that can be used for each session… I have photography permits that I am able to use at different locations around the West and Southwest Metro Area.

2022 has come and gone… Yet another wonderful year of photographing the most amazing families. This year had A LOT of pivots with pouring rain, dark skies, big wind gusts, prairie bush fires, and freezing temperatures… Most of these external factors happened out of nowhere so my families and I had to makes changes on the fly and many times roll with what Mother Nature was throwing at us. I feel so lucky to have the best families who trust me and are so kind to go with the flow.
Only a couple changes for 2023…
Keeping it a bit more simple going into this new year… I will only offer a 10 minute (Portrait) or 25 minute (Mini) session option. Seasonally I will offer a pre-set dates that will have sessions at a lower investment cost.
A reminder that I continue to offer complimentary photo sessions for families who have a loved one or pet whom is critically ill or in hospice care. These sessions are completely free of charge and I can meet you at a location of your choice or at your residence.

Hi, families!
My Fall schedule is getting busy-busy as my boys get older so I wanted to put out my availability sooner than later to get everyone penciled in for photos. Please find the two session options and the dates/times to pick from.

It is scorching out this week but I am hoping that we can get more seasonal weather in the next few weeks. My pricing has changed a bit for 2022 but I am going to offer a couple dates this Summer for SUMMER SUNSET SESSION specials. These sessions will be 10 or 20 minute instead of the 15 or 30 minute sessions… the longer sessions will be booked for the Fall when we have cooler temperatures.
I am also going to offer WEEKNIGHT SUNSET SESSIONS with the below pricing if anyone wants to book between Monday - Thursday in the evening during July and August. Sessions will be at one of the western suburb locations that I have a photography permit.

Changes on tap for 2022…
The past few years have made me want to simplify things a bit more in my business so moving into 2022 I am going to offer only two types of photography sessions. Maybe this is more of a projection on what I need for my own busy/hyperactive family, but I have been seeing over the years that no longer than 30 minutes was needed to (1) get a large variety of images, (2) keep everyone’s attention, and (3) make it fun/enjoyable for the entire family… I want to make sure that annual photos are something to look forward to… Where you can bop in for 20-30 minutes, have the kids run around, and then you can take your cute photo outfits out for dinner or to get ice cream afterwards. :)
I also made the decision to adjust my pricing in the New Year after keeping sessions fees the same for the past 5 years. I added a bit of extra time to each session which will allow for more images in the gallery, too. The first set of pricing is for sessions that are booked for a specific date, time, and location of the client’s choice… The second set of pricing is for special session days such as Mother’s Day Mini’s and Summer Sessions. There will be different pricing for Fall and Winter Mini's.

What. A. Year…
I typically post my yearly recap right away in January but the pandemic has slowed me down quite a bit. I started off 2020 with taking some time away from work during the Minnesota stay at home order. I was antsy to get back to work but when I was able to be with clients there was a learning curve of figuring out how to keep a safe distance, get kiddos attention with a mask on my face, and keeping myself from moving people around… It honestly took me some time to get into this new groove. But, we made it work… and I had the most amazing clients who rolled with this new normal and we still got some fun photos documented.
On top of all my regular client sessions I got to team up with families around Carver County and did Front Step Sessions. These sessions were about 5-10 minutes and I documented families on their front step (or in any shaded area around the outside of their home). All families generously donated to CAP Agency in return for their session and image gallery. In the end we donated $1600 to CAP Agency! Thank you to all the amazing families that I was able to work with. I cannot wait to do another Front Step Session project in 2021.
What’s on tap for 2021…
I will be slowing down my schedule quite a bit this year… I will only be offering a few Mini Session days this year and will post that information on Instagram and Facebook in the next couple weeks. I’ve had such bad luck with weather the last couple years so I’m cutting down my Fall Mini days to 2 or 3 days to give some flexibility to rescheduling.
What’s new for 2021…
I will be offering documentary sessions for families who have a critically ill or dying loved one or pet. These sessions are completely free of charge… All sessions will receive a gallery of images.
My family has gone through quite a bit of loss the past 5 years and I know how important it is to document the life of the ones we love. Death is the closing chapter to a beautiful life story… These sessions bring loved ones together to celebrate the life that was lived.

I will be offering a special Sunset Summer Mini session for a few weeknight and weekend evening dates throughout the Summer months. All sessions will be held at the beautiful Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chaska.
These sessions are $275 for 20 minutes, 20+ images sent via private online gallery, instant download, and print release ($100 non-refundable deposit due at contract signing to book spot). Sessions can have up to 6 people and unfortunately pups are not allowed at this location.

What a wild ride 2018 has been… I’m pretty sure I say that every year but this one felt especially wild… & fun.
It was the first year in almost 7 years that the weather was my nemesis… It went from Winter… to more Winter… to a blip of Spring… then 95 degrees & pure humidity… to cold and rain… to blizzards. I was beholden to my weather app on my phone and was constantly comparing to the morning and evening new on TV. Thankfully, my clients are amazing and rolled with the weather punches. We had A LOT of rescheduling, finding new locations, and making time up on weekday evenings. I am so appreciative to all of you for being flexible and able to change at the last minute due to weather issues.
WHAT’S ON TAP FOR 2019…
On top of working with amazing client families in 2018, I also continued volunteering my photography services to Haven Housing, Allina Hospice, Standpoint, and Minnesota Heart Gallery. I am forever grateful to all the wonderful people that I’ve crossed paths with this year… My heart is so full because of you… thank you! I hope to continue to do the same in 2019 and beyond.
Going into the New Year my pricing will change just a bit… Session options will continue to be the same (Mini or Full Lifestyle). I will occasionally offer a Super Mini (10 minute portrait) but will only be doing that 2-3 times a year. There will be special pricing for specific Mini Days where families can book sessions that will be back-to-back… the special pricing will only be for the listed Mini dates but you are always welcome to book a separate Mini that suites your schedule. To make sure that you don’t miss a Fall Mini posting, I will also send out an e-mail to past clients.
For clients who are wanting to do more than 1 session per calendar year I will have a price break. The Lifestyle Package of sessions must be booked prior to the first session and the deposit for the following sessions must be made along with a signed e-contract. If you are wanting to book 2+ Mini’s or 2+ Full Sessions (or mix and match) in 2019 please contact me for the price break.
For the months of January - March I will offer a special Minnesota Mini that can be used to document your family participating in your favorite Winter traditions… some examples would be sledding, playing pond hockey, hanging out at home with hot chocolate, hiking at a local nature center, etc.
I unfortunately didn’t get to do any sessions last year but I am going to start my 3rd installment of the ‘This is Motherhood’ series. If you would like to participate please let me know… these sessions are about 30-45 minutes, mostly in-home or at a special location of your choice, and are documentary style. If you would like samples of past series sessions please shoot over an e-mail.

If you don’t know this about me I am a very nostalgic person… this was the first year where I’ve seen kiddos whom I’ve photographed since they were babies that are now smiling with big kid teeth and teaching me all the Fortnite dances. ;) It pulls at my heart strings watching families grow over the years… some families have been with me since the first year of running my business when I was pregnant with my youngest son, Leo, 7 years ago. Some of my current clients had me waddling around with a 8 month pregnant belly as their wedding photographer… now their kiddos are about the same ages as my boys. I know I’m only with some of you for 20… maybe 30… maybe 60 minutes… but, you all have such a special place in my heart and it’s a complete honor to get to document your family together. So once again… thank you… thank you… thank you.
